Corruption Is Everywhere
EPISODE 348: How much does winning even matter?
On this edition of Rich Guys OnlyFans/The Sporting Class, with ex-Marlins president David Samson and ex-ESPN president John Skipper:
• Is the MLBPA screwed because its (outgoing) leader allegedly had an affair with his sister-in-law?
• Is a salary cap a red herring?
• How much does winning a Super Bowl boost the valuation of the Seahawks?
• Can we ever stop tanking?
ALSO: Big Pharma and The Who.
Sincerely,
Pablo

Just throwing it out there Pablo. No salary Cap. 🧢 it’s not the Dodgers fault that the pirates don’t want to spend money. The system works. They got Skenes. Did anybody tell them to trade Gerrit Cole?
Nobody complained when the Yankees were signing Giambi and Aarod. All those owners bitch. Steve Coehn has money. He could’ve paid Pete Alonso.
Why doesn’t Steve Ballmer buy the Seahawks?
I liked this episode a lot, it's a shame Samson lead with that anecdote about healthcare which caused the comments to just erupt in a hate fest rather than any discussion about the topic at hand. I disagree with some of the things he says morally, but I unfortunately understand where he's coming from.
I really appreciate that you have him as a regular guest on your show in spite of how the comment sections feel about him, he regularly offers more insight and an opinion that's actually something different, even when I disagree. I've been checking out his podcast, so make sure you make him thank you for the views.
