Grumpily Greeting the Dawn
EPISODE 345: A visit from David Remnick and Ezra Edelman.
You may recall Ezra Edelman, director of OJ: Made in America, as the journalistic conscience of PTFO.
There was the episode we did about what Jordan Poole said before getting punched in the face by Draymond Green. And then, more recently, there was our discussion about Ezra’s unseen documentary masterpiece about Prince.
This episode, again, is about reporting.
But now we’re joined by somebody else whose work I admire: David Remnick. The editor of The New Yorker — and a branch of Tony Kornheiser’s coaching tree.
We discuss the death of The Washington Post sports section; Jeff Bezos; trail boats; Muhammad Ali; Melania’s promo bucket; trying to profile LeBron James; Paul Thomas Anderson; John Facenda; Carmelite nuns; and the uselessness of despair.
YOUTUBE SPOILER ALERT:
Thanks,
Pablo

We know what Bezos is doing cozying up to Donald Trump. Paying 75 million. It’s pretty simple. Pay so you look the other way. Be nice to me here’s some money.
Pretty good show. Remnick’s comment that Trump is honest about the Obama video is a showstopper especially since trump denied it was racist and said it was about voter fraud. Maybe Remnick should have stuck to sports.
