It was a watershed moment in the history of the NBA. SMU on a basketball court. The Clippers are done. 5 wait for it 5 first round draft picks. After the Paul George debacle. That’s essentially 10 draft picks and Shai for Paul George and Kawhi. Worst trade in the history of sports!!!!!!! I’ve never seen that in sports. 🏀 this is Goodfellas scene Billy Bats in the diner in Queens. Go get your shine box. Clippers are Billy bats. And Deniro is Silver. Damn Pablo you dropped the Fire on them. The Clippers better hope Keyonte Wagler is Michael Jordan or some version of Stephen Curry . Because if he’s not then it’s Curtains for the clip show. And it’s gonna be in the words of a great hip hop philosopher Bubba Sparx. It’s getting Ugly!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent work all around, but that’s already been declared far and wide.
I have a very basic question. If Kawhai had performed the most minimal promotional for these sponsors, would there be any case at all? My guess is no. It would be very difficult to build a case based on objectively quantifying what was sufficient consideration. Would the league have even launched an investigation? Could the end result have been any more than a slap on the wrist – perhaps a sharper slap due to Ballmer’s previous offenses – and a harshly-worded public statement?
Given that, if the Clippers had stood firm and said to Uncle Dennis, “We’ll work with you but Kawhi simply has to do something for the money,” would Team Kahwi have stood firm? Was there a better offer out there? There are so many layers of poor choices here.
Well done, Pablo: accountability for the wealthy is so important!
So too, of course, is accountability for those with large platforms.
I look forward to you holding yourself accountable for the harms you perpetuate with your misinformed diatribes around trans identifying males & female sport, and the evil TERFs who you believe want to genocide trans people.
Pablo, your work here was truly incredible and I can’t wait to see more of what comes from this, and your own personal ventures.
Thank you for showing credibility and integrity through it all. It’s hard to come by in the age of variation.
Way to go, Pablo! Excellent work.
Clippers found out

Pablo Torre - 21st century muckraker
Thanks for giving me hope that facts still matter and that we can turn this ship around.
The show was all over the place, but definitely a well deserved victory lap.
Wachtell scooping you twice proves beyond a shadow of a doubt the investigation was legit.
Absolutely loved your convo with David Epstein - the link of the case to his book was very well done and precisely the point. Keep it up!
You really cooked
