Welcome back to Rich Guys OnlyFans/The Sporting Class, with former ESPN president John Skipper and Nothing Personal’s David Samson.
We begin this episode by discussing the political donations of various sports owners, ahead of last night’s midterms, before diving into what Major League Baseball’s labor dispute is really about. (It’s a fun one.)
And yes: our own version of political coverage will continue later this week.
For now, though, in case you were wondering:

YOUTUBE SPOILER ALERT:

Nooooooooo, David! Workers are not “sometimes” workers. They are ALWAYS workers. Owners are not “sometimes” owners, they are ALWAYS owners. That was a bs argument. If an owner just can’t make money, they can sell - and I haven’t seen an owner lose money. If owners want to increase the value of their franchise, they should invest in really good management and really good players and player development, not cap teams from paying what they want to pay - Why don’t the owners SHARE ALL of their TV, RADIO, INTERNET/advertising money, and then move forward with a bottom end requirement? GREED is the answer.
