I loved recording this episode so much.
And it was inspired, in part, by this thing in the new issue of New York Magazine:
In this lovely article, I did something I’ve been doing a lot of lately: explaining the investigative journalism of PTFO to an audience that may have only recently discovered me through the episodes about Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson.
But what longtime listeners of this show understand, of course, is that I didn’t start recording lots of stuff with Katie Nolan and Michael Cruz Kayne because I wanted to psychologically torture them by unboxing “the future of journalism.”
I started recording lots of stuff with them because they make me happy.
Which is why this edition of Share & Tell is a long-awaited return to our roots.
