Our 2025 Year-End Christmas Spectacular

EPISODE 327: The Cletus Episode.

I can’t do justice, in one episode, to what 2025 has been like.

But this is our attempt to bring it to a close.

It’s me and Katie Nolan and Michael Cruz Kayne and — as is tradition — they have no idea what’s about to happen. (And as a result: neither do I?)

Taping this left me surprisingly emotional. Watching it back made me extremely grateful for the people I’m lucky enough to call my co-workers.

This year, our show tried to use independent journalism to hold some of the richest and most powerful people in America to account.

But we also wanted to grow a community of human beings — like Cletus (!), it turns out — who enjoyed laughing at me, and my friends, and themselves.

We’re not quite done for the year now; we got something fun coming tomorrow, on our YouTube channel. And then we’ll be picking some of our all-time favorite episodes from the vault to put on our pod feed. And then I’ll be telling you about a premium-subscriber-only thing (!) that I want to try, next week.

The PTFO staff, though, is embarking on a formal holiday break.

They earned it.
