And if you’re a journalism nerd like me, you may have seen this scene before, in photos or movies: this annual gathering of all these reporters and editors and dignitaries across multiple floors of an enormous, open-floor-plan newsroom — the largest newsroom in America — to hear speeches from the winners of a truly overwhelming award.
