I contend that nobody has dissected the NBA’s new media rights deals — easily one of the biggest stories in sports business — like The Sporting Class, the show I host with John Skipper (the CEO of Meadowlark Media) and David Samson (the host of Nothing Personal).
So when Warner Bros. Discovery recently announced that they were suing the NBA, having been replaced by Amazon, I had many questions.
Such as: Isn’t TNT still broadcasting this upcoming NBA season? Can the league do anything about that awkwardness? What exactly does David Zaslav, WBD’s CEO, want, at this point? If Charles Barkley isn’t retiring anymore, what should he do? What does this mean for TNT’s value to a new NBA partner, Comcast?
And: What do the Spirits of St. Louis have to do with this?
YOUTUBE/DKN SPOILER ALERT:
In good faith,

Will we get a behind the scenes series on Inside The NBA last season together?
What will it be called? The Last Stand?
