The Whistleblower Report
EPISODE 354: Sitting on evidence.
A couple months ago, I was invited to speak at the 20th edition of the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, in Boston: an annual convention of some of the richest and most powerful people in sports (and beyond).
Owners and general managers sit on panels.
President Barack Obama was a keynote speaker in 2018.
And in attendance this year, it turns out, was NBA commissioner Adam Silver.
So when deciding what kind of panel I should do — they are all live-streamed — I told Sloan co-founder (and 76ers president of basketball operations) Daryl Morey nothing beyond the fact that I wanted to do a live episode of PTFO.
All of which is to say that Daryl had something in common with the two people I asked to fly to Boston to join me: David Samson and Amin Elhassan.
Who had some sense that I wanted to attempt Part IX of our investigation into the Clippers, Aspiration, Steve Ballmer, and Kawhi Leonard.
But not much else.
SPOILER ALERT:
Sincerely,
Pablo
